What we do best

Three core capabilities, engineered properly

Hardness and dissolved solids cause the majority of water problems in Indian industry. These are the three systems we build most, and the three we know deepest.

Hardness removal · Ion exchange

Water Softeners

Ion-exchange softening plants that strip calcium and magnesium out of hard borewell and municipal water, protecting boilers, chillers, laundries and every heated surface downstream.

Scale control · Zero discharge

Water Conditioners

Salt-free, zero-discharge scale control that stops limescale forming on heated surfaces while leaving the natural mineral content of the water intact.

Choosing correctly

Softener or conditioner? The honest answer.

These two systems are frequently sold interchangeably. They are not interchangeable, and choosing the wrong one wastes money in different ways.

Ask us which you need

Choose a softener when…

  • A specification demands a low hardness figure
  • Feeding boilers or high-pressure steam plant
  • Protecting RO membranes upstream
  • Running commercial laundry or textile dyeing
  • Hardness is high and must be measurably removed

Requires salt, a brine tank and a drain connection.

Choose a conditioner when…

  • The goal is preventing scale, not removing minerals
  • Protecting cooling towers and heat exchangers
  • No drain is available for regeneration waste
  • The site operates under zero-liquid-discharge rules
  • Salt handling and maintenance must be avoided

No salt, no wastewater, minerals retained in the water.

Complete portfolio

Everything else we design and support

Beyond our three core systems, we cover the full water and wastewater cycle — from a single household purifier to a township sewage treatment plant.

Why AQUASTAG

What actually separates a good installation from a bad one

Most water treatment equipment on the market is broadly similar. The difference in outcome comes from how carefully it is specified, commissioned and looked after. Move your cursor across this section — it behaves like water.

Sized from a water analysis

Every proposal starts with what is actually in your water. Equipment specified from a catalogue rather than a test result is the single most common reason a plant underperforms.

We stay after commissioning

Installation is where most suppliers finish. Health checks, retrofits, AMC and breakdown response are core services, not an afterthought bolted on to a sale.

Engineering accountability

Every system is delivered against AWEP, our internal protocol. Commissioning figures are measured, recorded and signed — so performance is documented, not asserted.

Licensed to export

As an IEC-registered exporter we supply and support installations beyond India, with documentation and packing to suit international freight.

The AWEP Protocol

Our internal engineering standard, applied to every system

AWEP governs how an AQUASTAG system is designed, built, commissioned and handed over. It replaces informal judgement with defined checkpoints and measurable outcomes.

  • Design parameters verified against the water analysis before build
  • Component specifications checked against the approved bill of materials
  • Output performance measured and recorded at commissioning
  • Post-installation compliance signed off before handover
How AWEP works

Service & support

The part that determines whether it still works in year five

A water treatment plant is a piece of process equipment, not an appliance. It needs measurement, cleaning and parts on a schedule.

All services
Service engineer commissioning valves and pipework in a water treatment plant room

Installation & Commissioning

Mechanical installation, electrical termination, hydraulic testing and documented performance handover — the plant is not signed off until it meets its design figures.

Technician collecting a water sample in a test tube for laboratory analysis

System Health Check

A measured diagnostic of an existing plant — water tested, performance compared against design, and a written report with costed recommendations.

Engineers in safety helmets reviewing pump and pipework upgrades at a treatment plant

Upgradation & Retrofitting

Targeted upgrades that restore performance and add capacity to an existing plant — usually at a fraction of what full replacement costs.

Maintenance technician in safety gear inspecting a water treatment basin during a scheduled service visit

Annual Maintenance Contract

Scheduled preventive servicing, priority breakdown response and predictable annual cost — so plant performance stops depending on someone remembering to check it.

Stainless steel pressure vessels and reverse osmosis skid undergoing repair in a plant room

Repair & Breakdown Service

Rapid diagnosis and repair when a plant stops — with the root cause identified so the same failure does not return next quarter.

Client feedback

What our clients say

Water treatment is bought on trust, because most of what it does is invisible. These are the outcomes our clients describe.

Our borewell was running at 1,150 ppm and the previous plant could not hold output through a full shift. AQUASTAG re-did the pre-treatment before touching the membranes, which nobody else had suggested. Two years on, the permeate is still under 40 ppm and we have not replaced a single element.
Srinivas ReddyPlant Head, food processing unit · Medak, TelanganaRO Plant
We had scale building up in the boiler within weeks of every descaling. They tested the water, showed us the hardness figures and sized the softener against our actual steam load rather than quoting a standard model. Salt consumption came in almost exactly where they said it would.
Karthik SubramanianMaintenance Manager, textile processing · Coimbatore, Tamil NaduWater Softener
Every bathroom in the block had yellow-brown staining and the residents were convinced it was the plumbing. AQUASTAG identified dissolved iron in the borewell and installed an iron removal filter ahead of the softener. The staining stopped completely within a fortnight.
Lakshmi NarayananSecretary, residents welfare association · Chennai, Tamil NaduIron Removal
The mini STP sits directly below our clubhouse, so odour was the thing we were most worried about. They covered the tanks and enclosed the blowers as part of the design rather than as an extra. We now reuse the treated water on the landscaping and our fresh water bill has dropped noticeably.
Anitha RaoFacility Manager, residential township · Vijayawada, Andhra PradeshMini STP
What I valued was being told what we did not need. We had asked for a full replacement and they came back recommending a retrofit of the pre-treatment and the high-pressure pump instead. It cost a fraction of a new plant and the output is back to the original specification.
Prasad GollapudiWorks Manager, pharmaceutical formulations · Visakhapatnam, Andhra PradeshRO Plant
We run eighty rooms and the laundry was consuming detergent far beyond norms. The central softener paid for itself inside the first year on chemical savings alone, and the guest complaints about scale marks on the shower fittings have stopped entirely.

Common questions

Questions we are asked most often

If your question is not answered here, ask us directly — we will give you a straight answer.

What does AQUASTAG Technologies LLP do?

We design, manufacture, install and maintain water treatment systems. Our core business is water softeners, chemical-free water conditioners and industrial and commercial reverse osmosis plants, alongside sewage treatment plants, domestic purifiers and rental systems. We have been operating since 2007 and are based in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Which areas do you serve?

Hyderabad and Telangana are our primary service region, with installation and maintenance teams across India for larger projects. As an IEC-registered exporter we also supply equipment internationally, and our enquiry form accepts phone numbers from any country.

Should I choose a water softener or a water conditioner?

A softener removes hardness by ion exchange and is required wherever a specification demands measurably low hardness — boiler feed, RO pre-treatment, commercial laundry or dyeing. A conditioner leaves the minerals in the water but stops them adhering as scale, with no salt, no waste stream and minimal maintenance. We recommend based on your water analysis and duty, not on which system carries a higher invoice.

How quickly will you respond to an enquiry?

Within 24 working hours. You receive an automatic acknowledgement the moment you submit the form, and an engineer who understands your requirement follows up personally. Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST.

Do you provide a free water test before quoting?

Yes. We do not quote water treatment equipment without knowing what is in the water. For sites in and around Hyderabad we arrange a visit and sample; for locations further afield we work from a laboratory analysis report and site details you provide.

Do you service equipment supplied by other manufacturers?

Yes. Our health check, repair, retrofit and AMC services cover RO plants, softeners, conditioners, purifiers and STPs regardless of who originally supplied them.

Tell us what your water is doing. We will tell you what it needs.

Send us your requirement and an engineer responds within 24 working hours — with a recommendation, not a sales pitch.
